Patchwork Quilt of Snow

Enjoy a Hibernation

By Amos GladePublished about a year ago Updated about a year ago 1 min read

I have no obligations

Just pajamas and a book

A cup of tea is steaming

Cozy in my favorite nook

Jack Frost is busy painting

in quiet wispy tantrums of torment

While I feel blasts of warming air

Feet upon the heater vent

And as the day progresses

And into night the chill proceeds

I’m happy, warm, and healthy,

in watching nature’s deeds

Snug inside my blanket

Outside a patchwork quilt of snow

The air is clean, the sky is crisp,

And there’s no place I need to go.

Life is ever-changing in the patterns it must take

Just like us the cold and chill will begin another day.

So, enjoy this hibernation,

Spring will soon be on the way.
