Past not erased

As fear and tensions seem to rise,

I feel more and more calm.

I felt more anxious, my whole life,

simply awaiting the signs before the alarm.

It seems as though it is upon us.

The truth not easy to spot.

I have always known,

The danger in history forgot.

How many cycles must be repeated?

How much must be lost?

The why I can't wrap my mind around,

when everything, comes with cost.

One can not say they are not a fool,

while following one that is blind.

That is surest way to lose this game,

and waste every second of time.
