He sees you when your sleeping

And knows when your awake

He doesn't know if your bad or good

All he knows is what you say

He trusts in you completely

To guide and confront him

To always give protection

To provide and tuck him in

He's conscious to all your doings

Remember he's mentally taking notes

Even though he's pretending to not listen

Trust he can quote you "Quote for quote"

Try and set a good example

And be honest in all your endeavors

Be thoughtful and respectful

Then explain so he'll remember

So remember he's in your presence

And absorbing knowledge like a sponge

So be a responsible parent

So he'll be a responsible son!
