the explosive excitement

Banality of reality

photographs, snapshot lies

Security in anality

the floor shaking passion

Fatality of futility

frozen time, capsuled (fantasy)

Clarity in acerbity

that never happens when you open the thing

Duality of ipseity

nostalgia, tainted t~ruths

Fatuity in piosity

that we all open at some point

Capacity of humility

still life, captured [tales]

Paucity in brevity

and take a glimpse at what

Opacity of disunity

reality blurred, authentic? authentic? authentic?

Venality in equality

friends, relatives, colleagues,

Toxicity of humanity

makes it last longer, does it? does it? does it?

*

Banality of reality

distant acquaintances, side chicks and FWBs are doing,

Security in anality

[images of perfection], framed

Fatality of futility

suck pouts and all that effort to put into a stupid image,

Clarity in acerbity

let's look back, look past

Duality of ipseity

the constant shares and reshares

Fatuity in piosity

]the images[ uncaptured, truths

Capacity of humility

of cats, dogs, babies doing baby stuff,

Paucity in brevity

smile for the camera, cheese

Opacity of disunity

those text and AI-voice-led pieces

Venality in equality

must present the best face

Toxicity of humanity

about FML, AITA and other "interesting"

*

Banality of reality

best image, best memory, false?

Security in anality

stories you're no better or worse for hearing.

Fatality of futility

why best, what does it matter?

Clarity in acerbity

tweet tweet tweet your panini,

Duality of ipseity

document, cement the reality

Fatuity in piosity

Insta that crop top jeggings combo -

Capacity of humility

frame the [authenticity]

Paucity in brevity

show those ass cheeks

Opacity of disunity

not the façade, the fantasy

Venality in equality

like you're a fucking Kardashian.

Toxicity of humanity

framed [images of victims of accidental victims with happy faces, smiling]

*

Banality of reality

like idiots, hides the truth

Security in anality

smile, don't, do what you feel

Fatality of futility

TikTok your cock on the dock of the bay to the sound of Otis Redding.

Clarity in acerbity

cry, laugh, scratch, make it real

Fatuity in piosity

Red dawn pictures - I do love those.

Capacity of humility

family portraits, not Reuters

Paucity in brevity

Okay they can stay.

Opacity of disunity

wedding shots, not Hello!

Venality in equality

Okay they can stay.

*

Toxicity of humanity

memories, not Associated Press

Paradoxes of Mortality

what happened, not what you wish

Paradoxes in Morality

don't sanitise, disinfect the past

*

Good work, you gave readers a lot to think about social media and themselves.

Love this one. First it made me think, then nod in agreement, then laugh out loud. Well done, my friend.

I think we always have curated our lives through the stories we tell. Now we do it with pictures- and there is paucity in brevity.

  • Whoaaaa, I learned sooo many new words today. Alsoz those repeated lines made this feel very lyrical, like a diss track. You know me, I love calling people out. So I absolutely loved this! 🍩😓

What a read! The italics were resounding gongs sounding all the way through like a "wake up" alarm!

  • Well-wrought, friend! People, having discovered that morality is indeed relative, have failed to realize that some moral principles nevertheless remain better guides than others...

Your commentary on the venality of social media is perfectly expressed in tweet, tweet, tweet your panini. Ruthless and brilliant, Paul!

There is nothing banal about this, and it is quite real. Splendid stuff, good sir!

Jeggings are a thing? Apparently that was the takeaway for me, 🤡 But much truth and dark comedy here…plus words Paul, words I never knew existed like those damn jeggings, because I am an uncultured swine! I hope you are well, happy and enjoying life.
