Who said that
kids need
expensive toys,
to feel happy?
I have seen,
very often,
things in nature,
bring them joy galore.
It was a day with clouds,
with puddles on the roads.
We made paper boats
and ventured out
to float them,
on the rain water—
to derive pleasure.
It was so much fun,
indulging in this frugal,
all natural,
soulful play.
It re-affirmed my belief,
playing in harmony
with mother nature,
without tampering with,
is the glorious way.
Be it sunny or rainy,
nodding to nature,
and weaving game around,
can take away agony.
At mid-life now,
floating paper boat,
made me content,
like re-living childhood,
it felt so good.
