The colors mash like words on a page

The color of black and white as they fade

Pandas leave the earth as they once came

Leaving behind the sugar cane

Rotting in their absence

Hoping it all comes to an end

Hoping their memories don't blend

Hoping it’s just pretend

Hoping we don't burn

Waiting for their return

As we are left concerned

Watching the world burn

Hoping it comes to an end

Hoping their memories don't blend

Hoping it’s just pretend

Pandas leave just as Dodo

We write moves laughing at their end

But want it to end

Us hoping that once today we turn a corner and say

…Hey look a panda…

Just like we once used to say
