PALETTE by Wanda Terry
A smudged mosaic is
the palette of our world -
hues blurring, tones blending,
shades melting into one another.
Do not shrink from our differences.
Soft yellow does not bemoan the vibrant purple as garish or vulgar,
and vibrant purple does not
protest the muted paleness of its kinsman as frail or faint.
Together, the pastel serenity tempers as the vivid storm emboldens.
Apart, I am lovely in myself.
With you, we also stand lovely - original and authentic, creating a vitality that is us, but more.
We are not alone; our edges swirl and mingle with one another on a canvas of life and love.
