The me I am with me

Shall never be when I’m with you

The me I am with you

Won’t dare be when I’m with him

The me I am with him

Sits still while I’m with her

The me I am with her

Fades away in front of them

With every emotion, a different personality

Painting faces in suffocating spaces

Authenticity hides behind insecurities

Depreciating with each conversation

Losing touch with the feel to be human

Nerves once engaged now numb

We’re blind to admitting patients

For personalities we’ve all become

sad poetry
