Pain My Constant Companion

Pain, my constant companion,

A shadow in the light,

But I won't let it define me,

I'll rise above and fight.

I'll build my self-confidence,

Brick by brick, each day,

Until it's strong enough to shield me,

From the pain's cruel sway.

I'll learn to love myself,

Flaws and all, you see,

For I am worthy of happiness,

And I'm finally free.

To live my life to the fullest,

To chase my dreams and goals,

To let my inner light shine bright,

And leave my worries whole.

So pain, I know you're there,

But I won't let you win,

I'll keep on moving forward,

With my head held high within.
