I hear the owl every night
He sings his song of wicked sorrow
Or maybe it’s longing for tomorrow?
O, I hear the owl every night
I wish him peace with every sigh
His constant question echoes the skies
Perhaps, he longs for something more
A curse he’s witnessed within his eyes
Yes, I hear the owl every night
I wish him well because he’s free
As much as I wished I would be
