well wishes on the door mat
a string of lights, adorns the door
inside a pile of house cats
leaving litter on the floor
a card left for the postman
reads, "please, don't ask and please, don't tell"
"I don't know when I'll return again
cause I couldn't take the smell"
well, the postman called the coppers
who swiftly broke down my front door
and it looked like there'd been robbers
or some kind of pillow war
the trash overflowed the trashed cans
three squirrels were living in the tree
decorations were out of hand
as the cats sang out of key
well, the sight was so amazing
that somebody called the press
and the pictures were hair raising
not to mention, quite a mess
so, I think I might just stay here
a little longer, at the beach
you take care of the cats, dear
at least for now, I can't be reached
