OVERWELMING JOY

POEM

By Brenda AumaPublished 2 years ago 1 min read

Oh, the day that I felt so alive,

When joy filled my heart, and my spirit thrived,

The sun shone bright, the birds sang their song,

And all around me, beauty was strong.

The wind it blew a soft and gentle breeze,

And the flowers, they danced with glee,

Their colors so vibrant, their scent so sweet,

It was a moment, so pure and complete.

I closed my eyes, and let the sun warm my face,

And felt the love of the universe embrace,

The world, it seemed, had come alive,

And all my worries, they all took flight.

In that moment, I felt so free,

My heart so light, my soul so gleeful,

I knew that life, it was a gift,

And I was grateful, oh so grateful.

The joy it was so overwhelming,

It left me breathless, and my heart singing,

I felt alive, and full of cheer,

And I knew that life, it was worth living.
