Earth drinks our sorrow
Cries tears. Mourns humanity's
Descent into dust
*
We build walls of stone,
worn souls weeping...overwhelmed
Like taut springs. Uncaged...
*
Cracked stone cannot hold
the flood of what is to come -
guilt bleeds into sand.
*
The well remembers
every echo, every fall -
we drink what we sow.
*
No warning , Like death,
waters gush forth, spewing life
We become undone.

Very well written!
We are in a crisis of overflowing tensions. two or three solitary men upending the world. so sad.
There’s such depth in how you connect water with guilt and memory. It feels like both a confession and a cleansing.
"Guilt bleeds into sand I especially loved that line!
This is beautifully written. I love how the imagery flows from restraint to release.
