Outside the gate where feet walked foreign soil,

Moon radiated reflected off tame shore waves;

Outside the gate virgin blood did boil

Stood a young boy, in a wondrous false brave.

Outside the gate, forgotten, he stood bare witness to her

A secret bizarre desire of water's touch;

Outside the gate, fantasy blurred where they were

Frantic to capture every second, a young crutch.

Outside the gate oblivious of those around

Stared up and at the perfect moon;

Outside the gate, ending summer, void of sound

Did our young boy sing a new tune.

Forever this moment, desire for an eternal wake

Forever this moment, outside the gate.
