Outrun

In a race against myself

By Bria LamonicaPublished about a year ago 1 min read

I compare myself falling in love to

someone who is trying to claw their way

pit.

ball

a

of

out

It is something I seem to be bad at,

fall into too quickly,

and cannot escape from.

It’s a race where I am coming in last

and my cleat is untied

and my shirt is untucked.

I am running just a little slower than everyone else,

unaware that love is

boundless

and feelings are under

no

time

constraint.

No one is chasing me.

The way you wrote this - the flow, pacing - amazing work!

True, time flows as it wants, like love.
