Our Mental Health

Is So Important

By Ruth Elizabeth StiffPublished 10 months ago 1 min read
We must keep our Peace of Mind

“Train your mind

to be stronger

than your feelings”

By “Training” our Minds

to become Stronger

than our feelings,

we are gaining “Control”

of both our Minds and our Emotions.

This is not easy

because we are, by nature,

emotional people.

It is Important though,

because we need to ‘guide’ ourselves

through the many challenges

that come our way.

And we want to make

“Rational” decisions

rather than

Emotional ones.

Consistent effort and practice

will Help us to do this.

We need to Strengthen our Minds

every day

to become Powerful,

Determined and

“Secure”.

All of this will Help us

to be more Confident within ourselves

and more Resilient in our Lives.

All through our journey of Life,

challenges will face us

and

when we are Strong Mentally,

we will Enjoy our journey in Life

so much more.

By ‘re-directing’ our Thoughts,

we can overcome the overwhelming influence

that Emotions and Feelings

can have.

This will give us

the Inner Peace

that is so Important

for our Mental Health.

LIVE AND LOVE LIFE!

I love how you put quotations around what has been told to us about “re-directing” and “training” our minds. Because—and this is just my personal experience—it’s a bit more nuanced than that, and this hints at your own recognition of that. It’s important, instead, to work in our own unique ways to find an equilibrium between “training our minds” and “controlling” our emotions, and allowing thoughts and emotions to free flow without expecting others to bear witness or bare the brunt of our actions and reactions. We should learn to be discerning and disciplined enough to not allow ourselves to become volatile, but, simply “training” ourselves to be “emotionless” actually does more harm than good.
