Our Love Is the Stars

by Chris Davis

By Chris Davis Published 5 years ago 1 min read

and maybe we were never meant to fall in love

only designed to fall through the stars

but instead you

fell into my arms

and the delicate strings

of our hearts

collided

and as we danced they intertwined

twisted

tangled

as i got to know you

as you

showed me your scars

making it less hard

to show you mine

because the last time

that i felt fine

was ten years ago

nine

when my mind decided to break my spine

creating a smile i could hide behind

until you

our paths crossed and the blueprint broke

shattered

into infinite pieces

exploded

in every direction

and our souls raced to the edge

faster

farther

free

and maybe we were always meant to fall in love

only designed to become the stars

About the Creator

Chris Davis

My mind drifts like the rivers of high Colorado and my heart lies in the arms of Mother Nature. My soul is tied to the strings of the universe and my energy flows to and from the consciousness around me.
