Our First Sensing

A Poem that ended up at the beach...

By Kale SinclairPublished about a year ago 1 min read

I saw you standing in all black in the bike path

with a beach chair and sox cap.

_

I was beeper at, and sweared at and heard vile threats of

road wrath for parking just shy of the underpass.

_

You smiled at my nervousness, and I felt my heart flutter

when you placed your palm upon the window glass.

_

Exiting the vehicle, to greet you, I secretly sneaked a

peppermint or two before stepping to meet you.

_

Your perfume was enchanting as you introduced yourself as,

“Hey, I brought some weed too!”
