Our Bodies

We Control

We are in control of our bodies

Until we let stress take over

Decompose our immune system

We are in control of our bodies

Until we decided to stress eat

Have a sugar takeover

Heal slower, grow bacteria faster

Lose a limb

We are in control of our bodies

Until we are stressed and need a smoke break

Blood vessels get clogged

Tissues die

Amputee

We are in control of our bodies

Until we need to rest all day and not get out of bed

No stretching no exercising

Have chronic preventable pain

“A body in motion, stays in motion”

We are in control of our bodies

We are in control of our health

We are in control of what we consume

We are in control of our daily activities

We are in control of our bodies

It can be difficult sometimes to stay regimented, thanks for the reminder that we're in control of how we move and what we consume! Nice poem.

Perfect read for "New Year's Resolutions" time, I'll say.

  • I try to look after myself and don't stress if I can help it
