Orange Tummy Fluff

Is there anything smoother?

By Alex JohnsonPublished 2 years ago 1 min read
"Ellie" aka Ellie Beans aka Lady Eleanor Beansly

Gentle waves in the wood

the seat is formed for sitting

its maple tone melts in the warm morning light

and my kitten,

small, orange, and fierce,

has stopped batting flies at the window

to take a nap on this chair.

She chirps when I touch her fur,

whisps in the air,

I run my fingers through that beautiful tummy fluff

warmed in the sunlight.

She allows me to brush her,

I joke about how she gettin' all gussied up for a big day at the muffins factory

and then slide my hand over her combed coat.

When I run a finger over her tiny forehead

I can see

she's drifted off to sleep.
