Orange Star in The Sky of Turmeric
White Walls of Soul

glass figures in the sky
keep reminding me all that
circumstances on the other side of the water
when I was just a little girl
enveloped in the past
butterfly walls and monochrome women
asking me to balance on thin ice
between the truth and lies
hidden in the atrocious basement
made from concrete
food waste and vape
drenched in red wine
like blood from my cut veins
metaphorically
I still want to live
but not close to the vipers anymore
trudging through turmeric tea
like an indigenous indigestion irk
flooding on my world
with the force of a cannonball
instead of free velvety hugs
from the unknown clouds

I loved your imagery. This poem is surreal and has such a distinct mood of longing. Beautiful!
