Nate the great, open the gate -
to a life full of love, happiness, and joy!
Greet each day with a yes, not a nay,
and see what blessings it brings.
For it is with a yes not a nay,
whatever endeavours you bring to their alter…
the Gods in your favour shall sway.
The nymphs, in the garden of pleasures,
with their hearts not yet hardened
and their hair entangled with yours,
without a delay shall your wishes obey.
Eat that tart with an open heart
and though your hands may tremble,
into the eye of a perceived oblivion…
full of doubt and valour, throw that dart.
For death itself: the executioner,
the liberator, and the trickster,
invented the clock
that even you my sweet…
a fine lad with his sails full of wind,
a heart full of love, a magic wand,
and his wits about him,
cannot neither outrun nor outsmart.
At the end of the day,
we're just canvas
in the gallery of a mad genius
and life is art.
The question is this though…
can the canvas itself hold
and guide the brush,
and while the storyteller sleeps...
can the book,
with enough wit and self-mastery,
write its own fate.
About the Creator
Sasha Chaply
I have always been drawn to storytelling, be it through words or music. Nothing brings me more joy than playing around with words and pouring my heart out onto the page.
