No drums of war, no battle cries,
Just quiet under open skies.
No blood to stain the morning dew,
Only dawn with colors true.
No rockets rise, no sirens wail,
No grieving hearts, no freedom jailed.
The earth, once scorched, begins to heal—
A silence loud, a hopeful feel.
Let swords be plows, and shields be trees,
And winds be filled with symphonies.
Let children draw, not duck and hide,
Let love, not hate, be glorified.
No flags in flames, no lines in sand,
Just outstretched hearts and helping hands.
The world is wide enough for all,
No need to rise, no need to fall.
So let the pages write a new—
Of nations kind and friendships true.
For in the end, what worth is more
Than only peace, and never war?
