The bottom of a heart
The depth of a soul
The stroll of a thought
Back and forth! To and fro!
Only God hears
The beat of my heart
From the drum
Of the storm of my life
And the sound of the rain
Falling from my eyes.
Only God sees the bitter
Behind that sweet smile;
And the crack in your heart
As you crack me a smile.
The lies in your truth,
And the truth in your lies.
God alone knows
The foes in your friends,
Only God knows
The friends in your foes.
Let them know God alone knows.
