But, a fight that surrounds them is concealed below the surface.

A mother's journey is never complete.

as soon as she holds her child

Her life will never be the same, she is aware of this.

She now bears responsibility for a precarious life.

And her heart is altered for good.

Every day she gets up before the light.

makes breakfast, gets the kids dressed, and then begins to run.

She balances her work, school, and never-ending chores.

All the while attempting to maintain her sanity and maintain control.

She may not let her children know about her difficulties.

or the sobs she cries when no one is looking.

But she persists in her fight, never giving up.
