One Grain Of Sand
A tiny grain of sand.
Yet, it’s here on this earth, like you, like me.
Covered by seaweed, seashells, the sea.
If one grain didn’t exist,
there would be no sand.
Was the first grain ever made by God?
Where did it come from?
One pinch, you take for granted.
Dust it off,
let it fall,
lost in the beach.
One person’s life ,
valued, treasured, extinct,
deceased,
gone.
Like the sand that came to exist.
And sometimes,
not even missed.
Oh, the sand on the beach,
waves caress, seaweed covers,
shells buried beneath.
Stars shine down,
moonlight bright.
Magical grains,
lit by night.
oh that one grain of sand.

A thoughtful poem comparing a single grain of sand to a human life, highlighting its quiet significance
We are like the Stars in the sky and sand on the beach. Awesome
What a wonderful analogy of life and existence. Nicely done, Marie.
