One day I'm a ruby in a sunset sky

One day I'm the sapphire dancing in the sea

One day I am the sun, as yellow as can be

One day I'm the gold as innocent as you

can see.

One day I'm greyer than the rain clouds following me

One day I am whiter than lightning could ever be

One day I am blacker than the storm that you can see

One day I am greener than the trees creating forestry.

One day I am as purple as the sheets on which I sleep

One day I am aqua as happy as I can be

One day I am as mauve as the lipstick that I wear

One day I am blusher, and people stop and stare.

Other days I am all colors that a rainbow can simply wear

Today I am me with nothing left to despair.
