One Anxious Night

It won’t be the last

Stop!

I don’t need your advice

Just listen

Let me rant

Until my soul

Finds peace again

*****

Stop!

Just hear me out

Let my words stumble

Let me ramble

Doesn’t matter if I’m wrong

I just need to get it out

*****

Stop!

Don’t walk away

Don’t be afraid

I need you

I need to know

Someone cares

*****

Stop!

Ranting’s over

Hold me first

And then will talk

Until the sun rises

And this anxiety passes

*****

Anxiety from the outside looks very different than the way you feel on the inside when going through a stressful situation.

~ Written for someone I love and all he’s been through. May I always have the time, energy, empathy and sympathy I need when he needs me to just listen as the storm passes.

Anxiety isn't fun. You pretty well captured it.
