I remember our debut night,

instant spark at my first hi.

Our future wasn't why we talked

or drank and flirted until last call.

Now: marriage, kids, mortgage, fights—

but I wish again for love's first heights.

You whisper sweetheart, and I feel delight:

echoes of déjà vu tonight.
