Alone again.

Alone with the walls

The stale air

And my own mind

My brain

A birthing pool for dozens of hauntings

Ghostly ghouls and ghoulish fiends

Words are floating out of the stream

Of my unconsciousness

Like a thousand red balloons

Attached to a single painted clown

Preying on my worst fears.

Touching,

Multiplying,

And feasting on all.

A mad creature

Born of blackest insanity.

Familiar only to those who cry out

For love in the darkest of night

Just before dawn.

This is a carousel of madness

A depressing merry-go-round

Faster, faster

'Round and 'round it goes!

Distorted tunes ooze

Innocent notes of most sinister intent.

Never stopping, never stopping

Faster, faster, higher, higher

Spinning, never winning

Demons grinning, sinners swimming

Oh gods alive!

What is it for?!

Does anyone hear this dreadful music?!

Shut it off! Shut it off!

The walls are closing in on me!

The ceiling is caving in!

Will no one have mercy on us?

We are the doomed children of the damned

Who never gave our consent in being born

And coexisting with thieves of time, love, and innocence.

We are crying, sobbing, heaving.

We are so afraid of what we see

And beg for you to acknowledge it!

You never do! You never do!

By the Goddess of Moonlight Blessings

You never do!

You caution and foretell

Of the dangers

Of strangers we always knew were coming

But did nothing to help us against those lurking

Within the skins of those we already know!

We know! We know!

By now we fucking know!

And we are no longer afraid!

We are anger!

We are vengeance!

We are a new race of super human!

We are victims no more!

We are your tragedies no longer!

We are righteous!

And we do not stand alone!

We stand together, together, together!

We rage, we burn, we stand

Together!

No longer cracked children

No more tears or broken screams

But bodies united, hand in hand

Brandishing our swords, wielding our shields

A dawning of a new and glorious age

That brings with it the promise

Of a kinder tomorrow

heartbreak
