On Living Brilliantly

In Living Color

By delirium ?Published 5 years ago 1 min read

StartThey asked for some words,

What makes you YOUnique?

In the language of art, colors;

Now that's hard for many,

They don't think this way.

Hard for me, though I got plenty

'cause colors is what make me me.

Yeah, I stand out,

Ain't like no other,

Though every (hu)man

To me is a brother.

Been described by many

Defined by very few.

"Colorful" they say,

And it surely is true.

'cause I wear

My personality on the outside;

I never thought to hide

Ain't livin' on the doubtside.

The world, ya see,

It's an artist's pallette

For me, jus' gonna be

Myself, gotta live free.

And if I ain't

Offered enough hues,

Like the purple of my hair

Or the yellow, my new shoes,

Lemme say, life's a rainbow,

Don't buy the hype,

Ya don't really haveta choose.

Live & love loud & proud,

Be colorful, 'cause that's true.

The only way they win & you lose

Is take me from me, you from you.
