On it goes!

Despite delays, despite the grief,

Despite the yearning for relief,

With anxious breaths and fears to creep,

The cost to fight is all too steep,

Through simple words to then portray,

An inspired utterance to see another day,

And so it goes, and so it grows,

The repetition of reaping what one sews,

Though the storm should linger on,

And battle lines then, are drawn.

Yet through the point of no return,

Where the wise prevail and fools would learn,

With judgement swift, though not so fair,

And investments come without a care,

Despite the times and seasons past,

Where choices are made before the mast,

Trade offs made and goods to buy,

Would come and go, to leave and try,

The same motions without a thought,

Would suffer what we have wrought!

Toil, struggle, strike the band!

Scatter seeds and tend the land,

Chase the seasons through the years,

To calm and still your anxious fears,

Come and go, to and fro, all without the slightest care,

Constant motion, constant story, constant chasing after the air…
