Omer 26 - Murex

hod of netzach

By Chaia LeviPublished 8 months ago Updated 8 months ago 1 min read

The spiraling, circling spines curling in on itself

in reflection of hostile company, cruel world,

near taking away operculum’s necessity.

The predatory carnivore predated upon

for sustenance and dye.

From base viscous mucus to holy relic,

turning blue and purple for our wonder

of beauty in morbid origin.

It trundles along, hunts along, lives along.

The seams of fronds steadily expands

over slow progression from aperture

to keep calm growth

as the murex fulfills its reason:

to live.
