Omer 24 - Chrome

tiferet of netzach

By Chaia LeviPublished 8 months ago Updated 8 months ago 1 min read

Forged between two difficulties,

in chromium and steel,

the symbiosis between the bads and goods

within living.

Shiny, strong, brittle,

needles and feathers,

diamond and pearl

— in and out of balance,

perched on a knife’s edge

in constant teetering between

safety and worse fates.

The mask is ever present to the cruel world,

to the smiling strangers with sharp teeth.

Donning new skins each phase

yet they can’t hide the rot any better

than I can hide the strange.

In my hollow armor I can no longer

repair yet clutch to until my fingers bleed

for what am I without the barrier

with which I faced the world for decades?
