Old Dominion Freight Line

Landscape Poem

By Rob AngeliPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

Vale of mystery in snow

slow spiritlike dancer

OLD DOMINION FREIGHT LINE

and mist: nature possibly beyond

human anthropocentrism

in human-eye genesis:

impossibly,

because homes dotted the piney hillside

pineblanketed rocklanes whitened puffily;

there were

of course

powerlines and snowblanketed rooftops

visible.

Pinebrook cedars verdure by snowtime;

only in glamorous winter

will you really see their green.

Barren frozen peace,

summoned from the signs of our habitation

descended like an appeased spirit with the frilly snowdrift

while salt of the earth freeze their livestock by negligence

and prospective magpie view

in white off in the distance there

by riverz n vales:

the prospect

a magpie a person

a tiny dotlet.
