Do I miss you?
Every day.
I miss your sighs, your laughs,
our old café.
Not a day goes by
where I'm not betrayed
by thoughts of you,
in the old arcade.
Night after night,
I sit in the dark,
reminiscing
of our old park.
I'd imagine us,
where we used to go,
under the old tree
to watch the stars glow.
You'd lay with me,
on our backs,
pointing out constellations,
like they were maps.
I can still smell
your old cologne,
a scent of nostalgia,
I've always known.
I can still hear,
our favorite song.
The one we danced to
all night long.
I still have
your old quilt
even now,
despite the wilt.
Remember that time,
we kissed in the rain?
You asked if we could
do it again.
I said yes
because I knew,
that none would ever
compare to you.
So, do I miss you?
What do you think?
You thought my love
could go extinct?
My god,
you were my moon,
I was besotted,
but life was cruel.
Our love was fleeting,
our story; old.
But one that deserves
to be told.
I regret nothing
though I am remiss,
wishing I could go back,
to old days like this.
