Oh lantern on the post, be my beacon.

Guide me to safer shores where you reside.

Let your golden light soak into my skin;

Warm me up and set all darkness aside.

Wayward lantern in the snowy forest,

Remind me of those times of fantasy.

Bring me those memories I hold dearest

So I may cherish them in ecstasy.

Bathe me in your golden light, oh lantern!

Shine like the Apollonian sunlight;

Stave away the black darkness of Saturn.

Oh mighty lantern, turn away the night.

Cast away the darkness and the shadow.

Let me feel no more fear with your light now.
