Oh, How, Oh How

ghost apprentice

I.

When the time expires, and the last day ends, and the dry tears of rain stain the white shirt and when the mud covers those dry tears of rain and when the sun dries that mud and turns into dirt and when the dirt gets washed off by the dry tears of rain, again. And when the moon spins around the earth and the stars fill the milky sky and when the blue turns to red turns to gold turns to black and when the clouds evaporate and rain down upon us and the hail and snow blow and when the trees turn to life again, not that they were in any way dead, and when we see the marching of the ants on a sidewalk or trudging through the grass and when the clock chimes 12, oh that hour, oh that hour. And when the window breaks because of a baseball and the whistle of the wind and how the weather dominates the room and how, oh how those freshly cut blades of grass smell in the morning dew
