Oh, Cruel World, Why?
Lost in the Lies of the World

Oh, Cruel World, Why?
Oh, cruel world, tell me why?
A lie, a trick—just passing by.
If one day you were my friend,
Or if I stayed until the end,
Would you still make me cry?
I chase you, yet you never care,
Carry your burdens everywhere.
For years, I've struggled—none aware,
Oh world, what’s your aim?
I run so hard, yet fall behind,
While you leave me lost, confined.
Tell me, what’s your game?
You whisper, "Dreams are waiting there,
Golden hopes float in the air,"
But when I reach—just empty space.
Oh, dreams, where is your way?
Can I find you? Show the way.
You just smile and fade away,
While the world keeps me at bay.
Oh world, you are a jungle wide,
Where helpless souls just run and hide.
They chase and stumble, pray and plead,
But lies are all they ever see.
So tell me, what should I believe?
Your trials weigh upon us all,
Yet still, you blame us when we fall.
Oh world, what must we do?
Should we chase our dreams in light?
Or fight the shadows of the night?
Should we strum a lonely tune,
While fate plays cruelly out of sight?
Oh world, hearts are breaking,
Yet love still burns, still aching.
Tell me, what must I do?

This one hits deep—raw, questioning, and beautifully haunting. The frustration, the longing, the search for meaning—it's all woven in so well. The world may be cruel, but this poem? Absolutely stunning.
Wow! the way this poem portrays emptiness and the ache of missing is utterly incredible. It has so much covered about life 👏🌿
Perfectly adept description of angst and love.
