Oh, Chocolate Brownie!
How I wish you to be mine...
Oh, chocolate brownie! Thy enticing memory brings me joy,
Miraculously crunchy on the top, with milk and air bubbles,
Goey and sweet, a bit bitter and nutty, a feeling so complete -
How you remind me of my childhood's long, untroubled days!
I miss thy softness and your first bite - a warm, fulfilling embrace.
My mom had this precious inherited recipe, always divine in taste.
Superbly crafted in a simple tray, resting on white baking paper,
I see you as a mirage, you make me pray for one more bite.
My mother served you warm with vanilla ice cream on a summer day.
My childhood moments gravitate around you in time,
Oh chocolate brownie, how I wish you to be mine!
