She follows me

In the darkness

Between tree branches

As I drive along

Glancing up

Every moment

To find her still

Close behind me

She follows me home

Creeps through my windows

Watching me

As I slumber

Draping her blanket of moon dust

Across my legs

And peppers my cheek

With the softest of kisses

She follows me

as I walk

Early in the morning

The dark still creeping up

But held at bay by her radiance

The houses dark

neighborhood quiet

Solemn

Slumbering

She reaches for me

Just before dawn

Trying to grasp

Just one more moment

In my hair

And

On my skin

She slips away

Slowly

Then

All at once

And abandons the hunt

For me

For three days

Then

All at once

A sliver of her

Reappears

And I am lost

As she gently

Guides me back

To where I belong
