Ode to old bells

For the love of bells …

By Ekta K. Kalra Published 2 years ago 1 min read

come I will express to self

the sound of bells

on an old shelf

who do not ring

strong

but are heard by me

since long

i feel the pain of bells

for they no more ring

as heard

they teach me lessons new

I take care of my body too

they love me daily as new

when my daily exercises

I sincerely do

what a pain is rest

in the bells lying down

my heart has felt

but did ’I’ learn it all?

No the bells unsung

have said.

I on my bed

makes no change

to me

or to the world

but rest is essential too

but we not meant for

rest alone

do you agree with bells tomb?

to be active is life?

to be active is being alive!

I heard the bells in you too

when you exercise

like me

I see bells ringing

in the eyes of hope

but to be confined to bed

is not great humans

role

to sing aloud

let bells make their sound

you too use speech

silence is worship

speech can be relieve

a solution to misfit

no sense was wrong

no sense insane

don’t over use

but let it be there

walk your path

to good health

exercise the mind

for good can be met

by an attempt

move your body

just as earth moves round

you too can move

without a sound

occassion of rest

should be all

dedicated too

we are for life

remember

where ever in life you

stood

smile

smile it takes you

another mile

in search of success

not dispute

for this is life

this is me

this is you

did I learn it all?

no the bells unheard

sang loud for me

for you

inspirational
