Ode to My Faithful Shoes

In a world that thrives on the bright and new,

Amidst the glinting gold and shimmering hue,

There lies, uncelebrated, a pair of shoes so true,

Witnesses to my journey, in skies both gray and blue.

Stalwart soles that bear the weight of years,

Treading paths of joy, and some of tears,

From city streets to rustic trails,

They've shared my stories, my winding tales.

Laces knotted, sometimes frayed,

Yet in their duty, they've never delayed,

Gripping earth, on cobble or sod,

Silently supporting, with a nod.

In their leathered embrace, my feet reside,

Through every challenge, they stand by my side,

As I dance in the rain or walk through the strife,

They're the unsung companions of my life.

And so, to my shoes, this ode I impart,

For in the journey of life, you've played a part,

You, the ordinary, I elevate today,

For in every step, you've paved my way.
