Ode to Abilify

Aripiprazole, oh, Abilify,

I can’t function without you,

To concentrate is in vain.

When I forget to take you,

Everything gets on my nerves.

So take you I must,

For all to have a great day.

When you are in my system, oh Aripiprazole,

I know that I am loved and I love in return.

Without you, I fear the burden of love.

Aripiprazole, oh, Abilify,

When I take you I can function,

Concentration becomes possible.

I feel like I can face the world.

Writing becomes such a breeze.

When I take you, I want to care,

I want to help,

You make me want to participate.

You have been easy on my system.

For me the side effects have been mild.

Aripiprazole, oh, Abilify,

I am so amazed I can live without being

Anxious, Moody, or Depressed.

Just one pill a day, helps to improve my outlook on my life.

Before it was prescribed to me,

I was a miserable wreck,

Forgetting how to sing.

Now, I’m happy enough to sing again,

Even to dance again.

It's helped me to have the Ability to be me.
