Ode to a Sunset

...I was always told "Look! Look! Look at that Sunset isn't it beautiful?! Aren't those colours gorgeous?! ...Now they are a reminder for me to stop thinking and to Just feel, if only for a moment.

Showstopping!

Ode to a Sunset.

The pale blue engulfed in Flames, Oranges, Violets, Rubies and Gold,

Spreading and stretching, ready to unfold.

Eyes ablaze, Heart singing, Amazed and in Awe to see the Sky Dancing,

Soft Pinks hiding as the Dusky Oranges are colliding.

The Rubies and Violets unfurling through the Blue, turning Pale to Indigo in just a few,

Moments passing, Mind quietening,

breath deepens to Witness such a passing.

Its Mirror reflecting as it glistens and gleams,

over the waves of the unbound Seas.

At its center the Molten Gold, drawing all back into its fold.

Down to the Waters edge the Flames slowly sink,

Down to that inifinte horizon as it begins to drink.

The oranges, pinks, rubies and violets, one by one sucked into darkness.

Only Indigo remains a canvas for the Diamonds,

Shining bright, Welcoming the arrival of Soft Lady Night.

"I don't want to die." She said

"Life's too full." She said

Now I stop and stare at the World She left

"It's the little things." She said
