Ode To A Frosty Cold Winter
a poem inspired by Canadian winter

The winter frost lays a glistening shield. Cold ice reigns o'er valley, hill and field. What mysteries here lie just out of sight? What secrets in winter's grip so tight?
Beyond the snowy veil what wonders wait. In icy lands so still and desolate? My heart with daring spirit now is stirred. To lift the frozen veil and what's occurred.
No path is clear in winter's frozen grip. Yet still my feet press on with eager trip. Through drift and dale the trails are hard to find. But mysteries draw this venturer's mind.
What scenes have changed with winter's eerie sway? What forms lie sleeping 'til the thaw of day? The cold calls adventurers to explore. Its secrets and its frozen domain's hidden lore.
Though perils may in icy wastes abide. Still curiosities my steps will guide. With care and watchful eye I'll safely go. To lift the shrouds and winter's face to know.
