So darkness can't extinguish light
but light can extinguish dark
in the beginning there was darkness
and He spoke light into being.
for some, October means goblins
and carnage and masks
but for some, October means gathering
and giving thanks and family
for me it means falling leaves
crisp air and pumpkin everything
I give thanks for singing and my ability to
make music and sunrises and sunsets
and Saturday library meetings
and Sunday gatherings with loved
ones who make me feel like family
I give thanks for my two best friends and
the hope that one day my heart will be
answered
so I welcome October as a month of Light
in my spirit.
Amen.

This has such feel-good energy. October to me is another month to enjoy the blessings that God has brought, I’d say this about all the other months too.
