Oceans

A Poem

By Mihaela VasilevaPublished 6 years ago 1 min read

In the sea, in the sea,

I dream, I dream of me.

No, no not narcissistically,

And yet, and yet I find clarity.

In the ocean, in the ocean

I sense, I sense a motion

It’s so easy, so easy to hide devotion

Without and within a certain kind of emotion.

By blessing, by blessing the water,

I look, I look on the horizon and farther.

It catches, it catches bittersweet sunlight,

Yes, yes. I despise the night.

What fury, what fury the waves scream

Their minds, their minds boil and steam.

In this dark, in this dark and empty crevice

Who will, who will help me finish this sentence?

The oceans, the oceans, they call my name.

I know them, I know them, but they are the same.

The blues, the greens, what difference is there?

One two, three four,

I guess I got trapped in the lair.
