I don’t want to be here, anymore

Like really I just want to peer

from shores

Peak in—

into transcendental waters

Disappear into ocean breezes

And drift in and out of subconsciousness

Beyond these sands melting beneath my feet

I feel the underlying reminder that

no matter how stable we may think our footing

It can be easily washed from beneath us

In a moment

Take it in,

In a moment

Break the wind encasing— I mean

I beseech me to

Cut the tension and make a stand

here and now

How great the wind feels on beaten brows

I want to be there

Standing at the edge of the water

Reaching rubbing my palms against the ocean breeze

surreal poetry

About the Creator

Dan-O Vizzini

Has anyone else just been making it up as they go along? Have you gotten so far from where you started that finding your way back seems impossible?

Well— reach.

Power when exercised properly is a beautiful thing.
