Obsession

The Unrequited Love

By Amos GladePublished 12 months ago 1 min read

When you say hi I’ll always reply.

There never was a question.

I’ll buy you small gifts, flowers, more,

Money is just a concession.

If you were cold, I’d give you my skin,

You’re my absolute obsession.

One day soon we’ll meet face to face,

I’ll make you my possession.

It starts out lovingly, but then takes a creepy turn, and the photography is creepy too. It's the material stalker movies are made from. The poem is well done however. - I think I need to write a smile poem. Well Done!!!

This has a dark, almost eerie devotion to it—obsession wrapped in sweetness. It starts off gentle but ends with an unsettling intensity. Feels like the kind of poem that lingers in the mind. Were you aiming for a love-turned-obsession vibe?

That's quite an interesting twist at the end. I like it.

Oof, this is delightfully creepy! Starts off sweet, then takes a sharp turn into yikes territory. That last line? Chilling. A perfect little bite of obsession gone way too far. Loved it! ✨
